  1. What information do I need to provide to order a web hosting plan?
    During the order process, you will be asked to provide the new or existing domain name you want to host; your contact information, including name, address/city/zip, phone/fax and email; and your payment information: credit card number and expiration date.

  2. What methods of payment do you accept?
    We currently accept the following methods of payment:
    • Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover
    • Checks or money orders for 12 or 24-month billing periods
    • Bank to bank transfers (add $10 banking fee).
    • Paypal

    The payment/billing periods offered are:

  6. Is your order form secure?
    Yes, the order form is secured.  It is using standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology to encrypt your order information while it is transmitted throughout the Internet.  This protects your important personal information.  Also, General Hosting commits not to sell any of your  personal information to any company, organization or anyone who would use it for marketing or other purposes.

  7. How quickly will my account be set up after I sign up?
    Account set ups are processed within minutes of signing up. A welcome message including your FTP/FrontPage account username and password, a temporary web address and  instructions will be sent to you within one to six business hours.  At this point, your account will then be operational for you to start uploading your web site.

  8. What if I order a new web hosting account, but I don't receive anything from you within 12 hours.  What should I do?
    If you do not receive an email from us within twelve hours of signing up, please contact sales. If possible, please include your domain name, your email address used to order and contact information in your email.

    Yes, we provide 24/7 technical support via email.  Phone support is available Monday thru Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM EST.
